Chevron And Shell Fight Oil Spills In Brazil And Nigeria
Oil giants Chevron and Shell are fighting oil spills around the world as they look to expand drilling in the United States. “ Chevron halted drilling of a well off the coast of Brazil as it looks into the possible causes of an oil spill in the region,” Reuters reports. “Shell said on Sunday it was containing a new oil spill in Nigeria’s onshore delta , the latest in a string of leaks from the company’s pipelines, which it has blamed on sabotage attacks and oil theft.”
