Emails from Obama administration aides obtained by CNN should end the right-wing media’s nine-month witch hunt regarding the creation and editing of talking points related to the September 2012 attacks on diplomatic facilities in Benghazi, Libya. CNN has obtained more than 100 pages of emails detailing the exchanges between CIA, State Department, and other Obama administration aides concerning what should be included in talking points for public appearances by members of Congress and administration officials. As Midwestern states assess the damage wrought by record flooding in recent weeks, scientists tell Media Matters that the media has missed an important part of the story: the impact of climate change. A Media Matters analysis finds that less than 3 percent of television and print coverage of the flooding mentioned climate change, which has increased the frequency of large rain storms and exacerbated flood risks

Right-wing media continue their relentless campaign to undermine the Labor Secretary nomination of Thomas Perez , pushing the baseless claim that he acted unethically in his involvement with a withdrawn Supreme Court case that could have undone decades of civil rights precedent. The Wall Street Journal and the National Review Online have been at the forefront of allegations , most recently made by the WSJ on May 6 , that Perez perpetuated a ” shady quid pro quo ” with the City of St
