Ssempa appeared this week on the Ugandan TV talk show Morning Breeze where he used various fruits and vegetables to describe how lesbians have sex, because “they don’t have the equipment.” LGBT activist Pepe Onziema, who identifies as a trans man, objected to having to appear on the same show as as a “hooligan.” Watch the inflammatory display: Video streaming by Ustream

Chick-Fil-A wants to open a second location in the city, but has been met with resistance by the local LGBT community and city officials. The Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN-based Northern Star Council, which serves over 75,000 scouts in Minnesota and Wisconsin, recently posted a statement reiterating that it welcomes “all people who can help to further Scouting’s mission of youth development.” This commitment to inclusive, the council notes, has been in place for more than a decade.
